MARET publishes a periodic counseling newsletter for pastors and professional counselors. The periodic newsletter is posted as often as we have
new information available. The most recent newsletter will remain available until the next newsletter is posted. Previous newsletters and
compilations of previous newsletters are available for individuals who are members of the MARET Premium website.
We can assure you that each of these newsletters will be of significant interest to anyone who engages in counseling. MARET intends to challenge
everyone who counsels with the material that is presented in each newsletter.
All newsletters will be presented in PDF format. You may save a copy of the newsletter to your hard drive, you may pass the article along to
friends in printed form, you may reprint the article for inter-office use (all printing of articles must abide by printing rules below), and
you may email the article to others.
Our purpose for the periodic newsletter is to disseminate high-quality counseling information to the pastoral and professional Christian
counseling communities. We hope that you will enjoy these newsletters and, moreover, we hope that you find them to be of benefit in your
counseling experience.
Guidelines for Printing Articles
The periodic newsletters may be printed or emailed to others. There are some conditions that apply to any printing or reprinting of articles
produced by MARET. Those include:
The copyright statement that appears on the newsletter must remain on the newsletter. It may not be removed.
The newsletter may not be attributed to anyone other than the original author.
The newsletter must be printed, reprinted, or distributed in its entirety.
Any advertising copy that appears in the newsletter must remain in the newsletter. It may not be removed for any reason.
Finally, as mentioned above, all periodic newsletters will be archived in the MARET Premium section of the MARET website. Newsletters posted
there will be posted without advertising copy or any other inclusions. Furthermore, when we engage in an article series, the whole series
will appear in the MARET Premium section of the website as one inclusive article.
Topics Contained in the Newsletter
MARET will deal with a number pertinent issues related to pastoral counseling today. While some of the information in the newsletters may
be "challenging" to pastors, we believe that it is appropriate and timely for pastors and Christian counselors to encounter these issues.
Those issues will include:
Understanding and Treating Depression
States of Anxiety
Marital Issues
Premarital issues
Personality Conflict Issues
Resolving Personality Styles
We will also spend some time exploring the modern drugs that are used to treat certain conditions
